Skype integration

Hi Folks

I have been thinking about doing some training online with a friend. Usually we use skype to communicate while we play or analyse and it got me thinking. If Lichess were able to integrate some sort of VOIP technology into the site, it would really make Lichess the place to go for training. If it were possible to attach your skype id (say) to your handle on Lichess, and the site put a call button next to the name of a player if they have skype enabled, then it would be easy and quick to start either an audio or video with your opponent to discuss the game after.

Think how this would impact the Twitch channels that we have currently. You would open up a whole new training style with viewers discussing their games with the channel host during/after, without all of the back and forth organising a skype, exchanging skype ID's, etc, etc.

If you simply had the ability, in you lichess settings, to enable or disable video.. It would be cool no?
I think this is a good idea but skype is outdated, there are smarter solutions.
Yes i only suggested Skype as everyone knows what it is. I would prefer another VOIP solution. I've watched a chess Brahs video with Kampen and Hansen playing each other where they have organised the screen to have a small video window. If the site did that by default it would change the way we play forever! :D
Also, it would be good if there was a way for both players to do shared anaysis, so if i move a piece in the analyse board my opponent/trainer/student can see what i am doing. It just occured to me that, while you would be able to see each other, you might not be able to see the moves..
+1 for video chat. I think there was a previous experiment for this, which got scrapped because most browsers don't support it reliably.

+1 for Skype being a stupid approach. Their API has been dropped for a long while and the one made by Microsoft is garbage.
How about having a setup procedure that tests your browser capability. If people want to use the feature then they need to update their system accordingly..
