Completion Rate

My completion rate is listed at a miserable 33%. I have inadvertently timed out on no more that 5 games out of a total of 345 played. What factors account for such a low completion rate?
I'm currently trying to navigate the same issue. Some other forum posts are suggesting that the rate is calculated based on your last 20 games, some say it is based on your last 30 losses. I have only disconnected twice out of 3,700+ games (due to internet failure), and neither were at all recent, and yet my completion rate is currently at a measly 93%.

My own conclusion is that lichess counts time losses as incomplete games. While I can see the logic to that (some poor sports will deliberately run their clocks out in a losing position), I think it's a flawed system. For people who play a lot of bullet and ultrabullet, time flagging is simply part of the game. A player's completion rate shouldn't take a hit just for preferring faster time controls. That said, I can't confirm that this is indeed how the percentage is calculated. If a lichess official could provide an explanation, I'd be thankful.
