What are your fishing secrets?

If you are fishing for carp or trout you should use corn. also for the hook problem buy a mustad hook which has higher chances of getting the fish that is nibbling, also you must keep moving the bait to keep the fish interested

It will vary for saltwater

A fishman once told me it could be the scent on the spinners that prevented me from catching fish.
I think it's good practice to rinse our equipment off before and after every fishing trip. Keep the equipment free from smells. If the spinners don't smell right for the fish, then they might not even bit on it.

Instead of fishing net, I drop my cat in the water and it collects fishes in it's mouth for me!
