what is chess computer assistance?

I saw the little icon next to a players name "this player uses chess computer assistance" How does that work?
understand, I am not asking about somebody cheating to win the game. that is nothing. I am asking about computers and internet and connectivity etc. somebody has a chess program on their own machine. somehow they connect that program to the website here and their program makes the moves or tells them how to move or something. how does that work? and how do people find out how to do these things?
they open their chess engine which is on their own computer and makes the moves you made against them to the program, and after that they play here what computer does. people find out these players when a player unusually plays with 0 inaccuracy, 0 mistakes and 0 blunders. (especially in short games) connecting a program to a website seems not possible actually.
ok then, so he moves his pieces manually, after seeing what his chess "engine", as you call it, has shown him. that takes time. which explains why I beat him in a one minute game
