Time Control Suggestions?

Well if brevity is the soul of wit, I guess api wasn't going for wit.
To me that says "Eh that's a lot of words. I'll make fun of him instead of responding to his refutation of me calling him a moron"
Well I responded at first to woab, agreeing with him, I don't care to rebut api but if you insist..

I suggested api is a troll or a moron after he remarked 'As much as I love freedom for people to do whatever weird things they like' and then followed that up with 'I've always been of the opinion that it wouldn't be a bad idea to restrict the available time controls.' and 'I would honestly be fine if the time controls represented on the quick games tab were all that were offered, even, but that's just me :)'.

The hilarious contradiction in a single sentence even smacks of a dullard or troll. If he is serious and not trolling, as I gathered from his epic saga of a reply, then is api's contradictory philosophy not moronic? I think so, but that's just me :)
This is my last response on this thread, since this is getting absolutely bizarre.

@dearprudence :

Those two are not contradictory in the least. It's no different than saying "As much as I love having options on the menu when I eat, I've always thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a limited menu."

One can find some thing/feature/quality desirable without necessarily wanting it unbounded or unlimited.

I love spending time with my wife, too, but I do like the occasional time to myself.

No contradiction saying you like something, but don't want it in unlimited quantity.

At any rate, I'm done with this thread, since it's somehow turned from an interesting conversation about feedback on a new feature into unfounded insults and slipshod (to put it mildly) argumentation.

Thanks for the interaction, though. I've rarely had an interaction, however unpleasant, that I didn't learn something from, even if it's just who/what to avoid in the future :)
