and why not???
it is a chess playing country from the time of immemorial.There so many good coaching centers also.
But when anand was a little boy he do not get proper traning because india is not a chess playing country (we are busy in cricket)he did not get any GM or NM or IM to coach him.From this type of country he represented our country and attacked in the russian forces so he must be great.I think you will understand my idea.You will be glad to know after anand's success now in india there are so so many traing center growing up but till the number is satisfactory.

similarly when anand was a little boy no one think that a chess world champion will be from india it is impossible .Think about the situation but anand made it.So he is great.
